Great!

Its been a while since i tuned into planet U&F  and as i start to listen i remember why i listened Mike's great work. then as he continues to say "we only now what david knows"  "I can't say thats a plot spoiler." i realized why i diveded myself from it, waiting for his work to gather to try to hold off dead ends.   Can't wait to hear your zombie story mike!  I'll email this but if you happen to be floating around online I'd love to ask a question!  How on earth  do you pull yourself to write? I'm  in a bit of a rut with a story plot I like but im very out of my element. Its a very calm, and ghostly story. and I'm use to loud, funny, or crude stories. Any tips for writing ruts?  Thanks plenty!

Writing Motivation

Good question. At the end of the day, writing is work, like any other job, and when you get in from a regular day's work, the last thing you want to do is sit down to more work, right? Same with free days - a free day is for you to do the things you want to do, not work. So how do I make myself work on my writing - especially when it doesn't pay money like it does for big time authors. I'll tell you. I think about the story I'm writing whenever I have a spare moment. I inhabit the characters and walk around being them, saying what they would say in the situations that are evolving in my head. I get myself to the point where I feel that I have something inside me that absolutely has to come out. And then it does, in torrents. Writing ceases to be a job and becomes a release for all the raging story that's building up in my head. Try it. It works Smile

Your email is out of date

Hi The Other Muffin. You sent me an email question but when i replied to it, I got a bounce-back failure message because your email details don't work. It'd be good if you could update them with this site, that way it won't happen again. But to reply to your questions, here's my email response:

Why Spain? I was living there - in a town called Olvera - when i got the
idea. It just grew from there. Here's a link to a video of the town that
was to become Almacena: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dloZCf3SOgc

Will the text of the book be different? A little; I'm tweaking and editing
it to make it better, but 98% of it will be the same - and no key incidents
or characters will change in any way. The book will cost as much as a
regular paperback or hardback of its size and dimensions, so whatever big
novels by people like Stephen King and John Grisham cost, so will U&F.
