Polidori Awards Podcast

Hey, remember that Polidori Awards vote a while back? Well the results are in, and I'm delighted to say that thanks to you - the good listeners of U&F that went to vote - this was the result in the Best Vampire Podcast category ...

pd

Dan Shaurette, the man behind the awards, has produced a special Polidori Awards edition of his 'Out of The Coffin' podcast, where I and the other winners offer our acceptance speeches. You'll be glad to know that I avoided breaking down into blubbing thanks to my mother and father, my dog, my cat, the man next door who used to show me his stamp collection, everyone in Trumpton, the person who invented crumpets, gin, etc etc, and kept it down to the people who matter - you folks who voted Smile

I thank you, *sobs*, I thank you all, and I'd just quickly like to say, *blubs*, thanks to the people of Trumpton; Eggbert, my goldfish; the person who invented corduroy ... *fade out to sounds of yawning*

Listen to the Polidori Awards show here, and while you're there, why not subscribe to Out of The Coffin? It's the ideal podcast for all things VAMP.

Underwood by Jon Cape

Jon Cape has rendered a new image of Underwood. This time he's in his vampiric infancy, somewhere back in the 18th Century. Nice one, Jon. Now, when are we going to see that From Beyond video? Smile

iTunes Problems with Episode 28?

A number of people have contacted me to report problems with their download of U&F 28. I just checked my own download of it and I see it's about 47 minutes long and cuts off in the middle of a conversation between Underwood and Lydia. This is indeed a duff download. All episodes of U&F finish with the play-out music, so, no music = bad download. The actual length of Episode 28 is an hour and three seconds (more or less).

I have logged a complaint with iTunes because the episode with my hosting site is whole and intact (I know because I just downloaded it). So if your download of U&F 28 ended abruptly, please click this link to get the whole thing: Underwood and Flinch Episode 28 (whole and intact)

Sorry for the inconvenience Embarassed

Underwood and Flinch: Episode 29

The moon rises on Episode 29, in which Underwood, David and friends go for a meal in Ronda; what could possibly go wrong?

Blog Entry: Episode 28 Progress

A blog entry - I haven't done one of these for a long time. It occurred to me as I currently record, re-record, cut and paste the audio of episode 28, that people are often asking to hear what sort of thing gets chucked into the cutting room trash can. I tell them it's just duff takes and re-writes, but an interest persists. So, to give you an insight into why it takes me such a long time to record an episode, I've taken the out-takes and re-workings of the first 3 minutes of U&F 28 out of the trash and spliced them together for you to hear. Don't expect anything interesting, this only serves to illustrate the mania I have for getting the right words, the right enunciation and finally the right take. When you listen to the final MP3 of the episode, it should slip around your ear-holes like warm olive oil, but before it sounds like that, it sounds like this ...
